where are the best places to catch some smallmouths in kentucky, specifically owensboro.  I have caught plenty of large mouths in the ohio, and various other places, but where are the smallies?

I'm not sure how far you are from Dale Hollow Lake (TN/KY border southeast of you) and that lake has the world record smallmouth bass.

I know of a couple of farm ponds that have plenty.  Then there's Daviess COunty Fish and Game, but you have to be a member.   I'm surprised you haven't pulled any out of the Ohio.  

Forgot to mention that the Green River at Calhoun and Livermore is another good spot for them.  You can catch them at Livermore all day long when they fill the grain barges from the Purina plant there.
