Does anyone fish wiggle warts for smallmouth, when is the best time, and what colors do you like.

Anytime, anywhere there are rocks you can slam the bait into, any crawfish imintation color. Just cant go wrong with them.  

Is there a certian water temp in the spring that is better or what is a good water temp. also I fish a lake that has really good smallmouth, you can really catch them good during the week but when the weekend roles around, or I should say a tournament. The bite gets tough. What could a guy do to catch them big smallies under some high fishing pressure.

Water temp: If you are going to make the wart look like a baitfish, anytime. If you want it to immitate a craw which it is best for. Over 50*, under 50* craws are "dormant" or however you want to put it.

Smallies under pressure: Finesse fish, use grubs, finesse worms, shakey heads, drop-shot rigged baits, and tubes as always. -or- Take advantage of a smallies aggressive/curious nature with reaction baits that they dont get a good look at or are moving really fast.

I'm still using them up here in northern Va.

They are pretty good around here from fall through spring as long as there is some wind. That is a pretty big factor. As far as color any of the crawdad colors work. You just have to find the one they like the best.

September in New England as the water starts to cool.  Bang em off boulders.  

I do well with them and similiar cranks when the water is 55 degrees or higher. The advice here is good, bang them into rocks and ledges, using crawfish imitating colors. In murkier water, bright colors, along with black, are great as well.
