  1. Probably my worst luck of losing lures was last year. I lost two LC staysees in the first twenty minutes. Then he tells me " that might be where I sank those brush piles." information that would have been useful after I lost the first one. Oh well, it turned into a heck of day. Caught my PB kentucky and hybrid. So you win some, you lose some.
  2. I have never used hair jigs but I have done well with Jewel Eakins and football jigs for smallies. PB&J, brown & purple, brown, and brown and blue.
  3. LC staysee ghost minnow or chart shad.
  4. My most productive lures are: 1. Jigs 2. Flukes 3. zoom trick worms 4. 10" worms 5. rogues or pointers
  5. I wish that we could pick more than one because I like bass pro and I like the local stores too. I like bass pro because when we go up to springfield it like a holiday. It is always the first place we go and my wife likes it as much as I do. The only negative I have about BPS is I will never make another online purchase with them. It was a disaster. Cabelas was a lot better in that regard. Also, more impressed with their catalogs lately than BPS. Lastly, I like the mom and pop places to hang out and pick something up when I am in a pinch.
  6. If we are talking about the best made now, I would say Lucky crafts and Megabass. As far as catching more fish for me Im still partial to swithwick rogues. Also, I have caught more on a zoom super fluke than all the rest combined.
  7. It would be a 5/16 once brown jig. I can catch fish with it year around.
  8. My two favorite cranks are norman DLN's and storm wiggle warts. Mainly because they are good producers where I live. I also like the Lucky Craft RC's.
  9. Congrats!!! Now you will have to learn when to put them down like everyone already stated. Im still having that problem.
  10. Wow that is a good deal. I would have done the same thing.
  11. They are pretty good around here from fall through spring as long as there is some wind. That is a pretty big factor. As far as color any of the crawdad colors work. You just have to find the one they like the best.
  12. Favorite Lure is a jig. Mainly because I can catch fish with them year around but I also love jerkbaits.
  13. I like this one! Rod: MH 7' Falcon Cara Reel: Shimano Chronarch Line: 12# Seaguar Flouro Lures: 3/8 homemade jig brown 3/4 PB&J football jig storm wiggle wart V45 Megabass or LC jerkbait Zoom Super Fluke pearl
  14. I live close to bull shoals and it can be a challenging lake. If I was fishing it in october I would probably throw a crankbait or a spinnerbait if there is any wind. Also, I would throw a topwater some. If it happens to be calm I would probably throw jigs. I know that the pb&j color works good for smallies. Lastly if it is not to cool yet you might try throwing a single spin or jigs after dark. Good luck.
  15. I feel like most of you guys I would like to tie something on and try to hit a moving target but I think the best thing is to call the sheriff. Also, I would suggest night fishing since the jet skis have to be off the water but be careful. We had a collision between a bass boat and ski boat at night last week that left two people dead. It was a terrible accident that could have probably been avoid but they are still investigating.
  16. Hey a dd22 is a size #2. Likewise I don't know what kind they come with from the factory. Also, if you have a BPS catalog they usually list the size hook that comes with the lure. Thats how i see which one to put on.
  17. I like either a GY twin tail grub or a netbait paca chunk. They both seem to work real well. The netbait holds up a little better though, more than one fish a trailer.
  18. I would use crawdad cranks and a weightless t-rigged lizard. Those have been my go to baits for a couple of years now. I would also bring some tubes, hula grubs and a couple of topwaters. Now with all this talk, I think that i will go creek fishin tomarrow.

I mainly use jewel eakins or football jigs. That is what most people around here use but I have a friend that swears by revenge jigs. I think that you can get them on ***.com. They would probably be better suited for the lake that you are going to fish. Good luck.
  20. I usually t-rig them but I do use them on a carolina rig sometimes. When I t-rig them I usually throw them at night. They are a good big fish lure but I have caught some fish that were the same size as the worm.
  21. My favorites are LC sammies, spooks, and Storm chug bugs.
  22. Yes they work well for largemouth. I like to mojo rig or split shot them. They work well spring through summer. Also, I like to use them creek fishing for smallmouth either t-rigged or weightless with current.
  23. I have found that it is usually better a couple of hours before a storm hits. However, one of the best days I ever remember on the lake a buddy and I hit right after a good storm and it really fired up the fish. They were killing the spooks and sammies. Sometimes two at a time. It was quite a day.
  24. If it is a worm I would probably throw watermelon or green pumpkin. If it is a jig some combination of brown.
  25. I would get some more pointer 100 or 78's in ghost minnow, chart. shad & old tenn shad. Also, I would get some sammies in the same colors but I don't think color matters so much with a topwater. Lastly I would pick up some LC RC 1.5 in the copper green shad and ghost minnow. Good luck
