I need some help please:

This year my work takes me to northeast Ohio once a week. Is there anywhere in the Conneaut/Ashtabula area that I can fish from shore and have any chance of catching one of these Lake Erie Smallies I keep reading about? ;D

Shore opportunities are limited at best but there is a wall on the western end of Conneaut harbor that I have caught a couple off of but I would not count on any type of consistent action. Great smallie fishing in that area but you really need a boat.

If you are going to be there really soon, find a Lake Erie tributary in that area. Most of the tribs get spring runs of smallies looking to spawn. Tribs in and around Erie PA have smallies in them now so I would imagine that some may still be around in Ohio.

conneuat creek crosses interstate 90

fish either find some country roads there and walk the creek you should catch a few that way
