Hey guys...looking to get a Lowrance H2O hand held GPS.  There are two models I'm looking at.....a black and white screen and one with a color screen.  Anyone use either of these?  I'm just wondering if the color screen is worth the extra 90 or so bucks.  I'm planning to use Navionics cards in it.....so i figured the color might distinguish depth changes a little better.  Any input or info about your experiences is greatly appreciated!

I'm sure everybody will say yes it is worth the extra money for the "C".  

I have the black and white screen unit only because I got a screemin deal ($50).  It's a great unit and I have no Complaints, but I guess a color screen would be cool.  I guess if you have an extra $90 go for it.

I have the H2O and didn't purchase the H2Oc because I already have a color sonar/gps on my boat so the monochrome suited my needs at less cost. The H2Oc does have a higher resolution screen which may or may not be a plus. Even though I use Navionics and Lowrance mapping software in it, the waypoints and tracks are the most important use for me as the screen is too small for beneficial contour line viewing.

I've had both and had the "Lakemaster" chip in both. The H20 is easyer to see in sunlight. The H20c (in my opinion) is worth the extra money if you use it on land also. The differant colors of high land versus low land is nice. Also the public vs privite land color is also nice. Regardless which one you get, buy a plastic screen protector. The screens are prone to scratches.

Color is always worth the extra $$.
