shaky head whats your favorite set-up

Featured Replies

rod, reel, line, bait, (shaky head/weight)- I really like this way of fishing it has bailed me out and also put me over the top.  I just want to see what you guys are using.  I will start:

G-Loomis DSR822S

Daiwa Fuego 2500

Spider Wire Stealth 10LB with/ 8ft Flouro leader-

various baits but; 4.5" fat roboworms, smallie beavers dominate the business end of my line.

I use a variety of heads but mainly picasso shakedowns 3/32 to 3/16oz-  I use the ikey ball buster in 3/16oz for deep or when using the smallie beaver.  I fish a lot these are probably my most effective finesse baits by far. I have been experimenting with the yamamoto shad shaped worm like Shinichi Fukae spoke of in an FLW mag a while back- they work well kind of like the sweet beaver but I think if the bite is really tough the smaller size may be key- now I am rambling lets here what you guys got going on-

later

G Loomis SHR822S

Quantum Energy PTi 4000

30 lb yellow Sufix braid

10lb Berkley 100% floro leader

Buckeye Spot Remover 3/16 or 1/4 in deep water or Owner Sledhead

Zoom Mag Shakey head, 4" dead ringer, or hand pours

I use yellow so I can see the line move easier and use the 4000 series reel because the bigger spool seems totwist less and I like the extra weight.

Rod:  Diawa Gygnus 6'6 MH (I believe thats what it is called?)

Reel:  Diawa Gygnus (I also believe thats what it is called?)

Line:  10 lb. Berkley Trilene XL monofilament

Shakey Head:  Buckeye Lures Pro Spot Remover 1/4 oz.

Worm:  Roboworm Zipper Shakin' 5" worm Aaron's Magic color
