Fishing for browns on the Potomac

Featured Replies

Looking for any advice from all you pros!! I'm fishing around the Harpers Ferry area.  I've had luck throwing Mepps spinners, and spinner baits.  What kind of soft stuff should I be throwing?  Thanks for the help boys!

tubes, soft jerkbaits, and shakey head worms. all in brown or green. Fish in areas where the water changes depths rapidly, areas where the current slows or breaks. Maybe some topwaters like poppers and walk-the-dog baits as well.

I usually fish for green on the potomac but nice smallies can be caught consistanly. try throwing jerkbaits like lucky craft pointers on weededges. and try tubes around rock points and breaks.
