New Bass Pro Opening, What to get?

Featured Replies

There is a new bass pro opening about 30 min from my house in about a week and was wondering if there is anything special that bass pro carries that I need to look at.

I have a Cabelas about the same distance so if there is anything cool or different that bass pro carries over Cabelas fill me in before i go.

Thanks

if your talking about the bps opening in olathe ks, im pretty excited.

I grew up makn the trip down to springfield, mo once or twice a year, and for me, cabelas doesnt compare...yet.

I may stand corrected, but we have always gone to the springfield bps around march, b/c they have a spring sale... im not sure if that is true or if this one will...i hope so.

otherwise, looking on both sites, cabelas has rods and reels bps doesnt, and vise versa and home brand.

hope that helps

New Bass Pro Opening, What to get?

Well, if you're like me you need to get a higher paying job so you can afford more stuff.  Much like you guys I usually make 2-3 trips to Springfield, and I might still head down there a few times just to check out what is available in the catalog outlet store.  However the store opening in Olathe has me pumped.  When the one in Independence gets done I'm in real trouble.

What ever your budget can or cant afford and everything you ever thought you needed. ;D

get the new pro qaulifier spinning combo.  it is awesome!  the new mag spool technology is so sweet, and if you compare it to there older reels you will see a huge difference.  plus, the pro qualifier is a top of the line rod.

I waited nearly a year to get mine and missed out on a TON of points ;)

im in the same boat al, but that 10% off everything is going to be awesome....to bad i already bought spring stuff at cabelas. ill have to go anyways, let me know when your going. ;) and dude im pretty sure you dont need anymore rods or reels, maybe some different baits but other than that im sure your set haha.

thats pretty sweet but i count on dicks sporting goods in topeka for zoom stuff. during the summer there almost always like 25-50% off. i still may stock up.

Go in, walk over to the customer service counter, and ask if they could please issue a restraining order against you. Because if not you can kiss any hope of saving any money away!  ;D

Or you could pick one of everything.

They opened a BPS in Branson,MO a year or so ago.Don't get discouraged if you don't find good selection for a little while. It took Branson's BPS a while to get stuff in.

To answer your question:I think you should check out the BPS 3 1/2" tender tube if you fish tubes.

Got mine and it is already to go.  I have a list about 4-5 pages long of stuff I want, now the hard part comes in limiting that to what I can afford right now.

I definitely am getting a crankin rod, not sure of the reel for it yet, as well as cornicopia of lures and other stuff.  I work about 5 minutes from the Olathe store, so next Wednesday, I am going straight from work to the opening at 6 PM.

I am getting jittery with anticipation.
