Worden's Timber Tiger???

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried the worden's timber tiger (any model), I've heard that its an exceptional bait and was thinking about buying a few for big smallies this summer. Any opinions?

I've never used them, but over the course of many years I've seen smallies caught on a huge variety of crankbaits, so there's no reason in the world why this shouldn't be a successful bait.

That is an great series and if you fish them in any hard cover they do deflect most objects away from the hooks (not to say they dont get hung sometimes because they do). I fish them mostly around rocky banks and have caught many fish with them and will hold a larger fish well. Change the front hook on this bait to a tripple grip hook if you want it to really get through stuff without hanging.

i have some, bass pro shop used to carry them a few yrs back..what i like best about them is they come through weeds very well and i almost always catch something on them....but now i think they are pretty expensive and i still have a bunch...the only place i know of that you can get them is yakima bait company......

They are good shallow cranks for bulldozing through cover.

excellent crankbait. designed by the same guy as the luhr-jensen speedtrap crankbait but with improvements. about the only "negative" i can think of that they kinda run large for their weight. i get all mine from fishermanswarehouse.com.

They are pretty big cranks, I do wish they made some smaller ones. But they still work well.
