Hart X2 Double Spinnerbait

Featured Replies

Would like to get some feedback on what other anglers think of these before picking some up to test. Additionally any insight on if they are difficult to tune if mangled by a good bass. Thanks

I haven't fished it, but it does look interesting. Based on the pic as BPS, it appears to have a pretty stout wire although it won't totally eliminate any tuning to the bait once it gets nailed. It uses a bearing for the rear blades which is always good and at 5.99 it's fairly priced. I tried to go on Hart's website to get more tech info, but what you see is what you get.

They had the Hart Throb years ago and that was a real nice spinnerbait. IMHO, Hart is a good manufacturer and I don't think you could go wrong with picking one up and letting us know what your impression of it is. Give it a whirl. :nike:

I have 1. I actually cut the wire off the top of the head and made it more of a standard spinnerbait. Just didn't care for the design to much. I could never get it to run correctly unless it was being retrieved at a snails pace. Here is the one i have.

Thanks for the info and Bass ninja that was a big reason for the question I was curious about how the extra arm would impact the tracking of the bait and it sounds to me from your experience I may not want to acquire to many for my trials.

I have to disagree with the spinnerbait not tracking straight. I have the shad colored one with the double willow blades and it tracks true and I didn't have to tune it out of the box. I actually switched out the top willow for a smaller one to match the second willow blade. I haven't gotten bit on it yet, as I haven't thrown it that much. But as far as the design, I feel that it is pretty amazing and it looks better in the water than the triple or quad blade spinnerbaits that have all the blades on the same wire. I would say to get one and decide for yourself, you might be surprised at the action of the spinnerbait. I think that it looks like a small school of shad swimming around which would be enticing to a bass.
