How To Resolve A Sql Error

Featured Replies

I noticed that several others have posted about this problem, but haven't seen an answer.

Here is the notice that I keep getting:

An error occured with the SQL server:

This is not a problem with IP.Board but rather with your SQL server. Please contact your host and copy the message shown above.

I'm not tech savy enough to understand this, but it is starting to get annoying that I lose posts when this thing pops up. If it is something I need to do, please give me a hint. If it is something linked to the new format, then I'll simply wait for it to get ironed out.

Thanks!

It's not you. Its the board. The View tables seem to be a little askew. Admins: Check under the Control Panel Database "cache_store" I believe

I'm working on it. If it happens again, please provide every detail you can think of. What your were doing, what time you saw it, etc. That will help me immensely.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Glenn.

It wasn't really a complaint, just thinking that maybe my computer wasn't up to date. If it is something on your end, I'm sure you'll get the bugs worked out as soon as you can.

Save some time to get all your stuff packed..... Not too many days left. I'm looking forward to getting to meet all of you.

It happens to me a lot on the work computer. Its running windows Vista, it doesn't really happen on the home computer which is running windows 7. It seems to always happen when i press a page #. If i'm on page 1 of a thread and click the 2 at the bottom of the page that's when it will happen. And if i just click the arrow to go to the next page its usually ok and doesn't give me the error screen. Hope this helps..

FWIW: I had that error this AM from my home pc running W7. I'll collect more info if it happens again.
