I am not to familiar with Diawa products, so I wonder if 100 dollars for a brand new in the box advantage is a good deal? Info on this reel is limited online, so I decided to ask the true experts....lol...

The regular Advantage baitcast reel retailed under $100 if I remember correctly, but I'm not sure if they still make those.

The Advantage HSTA is a super tuned version of the Advantage and retails for around $170. If the reel in question is an HSTA, that's a great price.

I can't speak for the spinning reel, but the Advantage baitcaster is one of my favorites. Great casting distance and very smooth, though not as small as other reels for the same price.
