Anyone fished the Res lately? I went on Monday but had no luck. Planning on going out of Lake Ridge on Thursday and looking for some pointers.looking for bass or crappie. Any help would be appreciated.

It took 24lbs+ (6 fish) to win the tournament on Sunday. Other than that I couldn't tell you much. 21lbs finished 5th.

out of fountainhead? I was one of the donks in the bass boat gettin blown all over the shoreline haha

yea, buddy said the res was on fire Sunday!

I obviously need to get my butt and boat down there this weekend. Anyone concerned with the weather systems moving through late this week effecting the weekend?

fish are active. creeks as well as main lake. pick up a blade and slowwwww roll it around the ends of flats. more wood = more better!!

Fished from 12 until 4 with not a single bite. I slow rolled spinnerbaits and crank baits. Launched out of Lake Ridge and went east toward the dam. Later this week I will be going upriver to try to break the 2011 slump!

haha all the time... even been yelled at by EB :)

I'm heading out on the Res on Saturday w/ Speedbead. Hopefully we can figure something out...

Went out today with Speedbead. Very tough out there. Water temp was 51*. We got 7 on jigs, blades and shakey.

Heading out again tomorrow. Thanks for the update. I will be trying to go from power fishing to soft plastics.

Went out yesterday..... tough going for me and seemingly everyone else. I got skunked, everyone I talked to seemingly said the same or one or two at most. My gf was with me with a bob-er and worms and she could not even come up with a bluegill.

Water temps were still low 50's with a lot of variance all over.

The conservation officer was out and he seemingly was the only one catching anything.

Tx partner was out Sunday and steady caught fish. Small jigs and medium running cranks

Blanked again! I can't buy a fish in April. Threw spinnerbaits all morning long with no luck. Maybe I will be waiting until May to fish.

Fishingforfun. Pm sent

Will be out tomorrow either on the res (heard thurs and fri are supposed to be really great days) or mercer (new cart to try out) or huntsman. Think the smaller water might be a little warmer temp wise, but today's rains have me concerned about water clarity and fish activity.

I did forget to mention i did "catch" a woodpecker one a new silver-ish fluke I was using. He swooped right out of a tree, dove a few inches in, and popped right out with my fluke in his mouth (no idea how he thought he could eat it, was about the same size as him). Luckily it did not snag him or anything and he flew back to his tree, looking mighty disgruntled.
