Thinking about trying the sinking braid for lighter baits. Anyone tried it???

I tried the 10# on spinning gear and it performed nicely. Pretty tough stuff.

i have 10# 832 on 4 of my spinning reels and 6# on one other... it works great. even the 20#test/6# diameter would work well on spinning gear.

its extremely sensitive, quiet through the guides, tough, just awesome line...plus i love the lime green for visibility

I use 20# 832 on a Stradic Ci4 4000. It keeps its color a little longer than other braids. Quiet through the guides for sure. I havent noticed it sinking though and thats why I bought it. It floats just like performance braid.

I'm using 20# on two of my reels, I can't say a lot though, I haven't been able to do much more than some pond fishing.

I have 10# on a couple spinning reels too and it works real good. Last year I used Power Pro on some spinning reels and liked it, but I'm liking the 832 better. Like already said, its quieter and its limper.

Power Pro and Suffix 832 are the only types of braid I've used on casting and spinning reels. I have to say that I prefer the 832 on both.

Does Suffix make a sinking braid?

I heard that the gore-tex in the 832 aloud the line to sink. Others say nay ???? Might be a subject for another thread. does anybody here know???

I use Suffix 832 20lb on a 2500 size Shimano reel. It handles very well and has a very small diameter for its strength rating. It contains one Gore fiber among 7 or 8 woven Dyneema fibers and they say it sinks. I'd say it doesn't, but neither does it float like other braids. So I wouldn't use it for unweighted plastics but like it for just about anything else. The price for a filler spool is around $20, which is a heck of alot better than the Spider Wire alternative.
