I have used many soft plastic worms ranging from Zoom, Culprit, Berkley (PB) to the generic bargain bin brands.

I was at Wal-Mart the other day and decided to give the Gulp 7" turtleback worm (Cherryseed) a try so I picked up a bag.  I went fishing this evening at Yatesville Lake (KY) and was fishing from the bank, casting into laydowns.  After a good 15 mins or so of no bites, I finally started getting some nice solid strikes and ended up hauling in 5 keepers!  One was a good 24" and probably weighed about 5 lbs. The rest were 15-20".  They were simply tearing up these somewhat delicate worms.  I ended up using about 8 of them and on the way back home I picked up 3 more bags in Cherryseed, Blue Fleck and Green Pumpkinseed.   Berkley has really outdone themselves on this one and found a Powerbait killer. Props to them!  

All in all it was a great day and I regret that I didn't have any means of taking any photos but I'm planning on going back early tomorrow morning and I'll have my cell phone with me.  

Gulp! are also good for catfish.  ;D   ;D   ;D

Wonderful news that your bass like them.

I guess I will have to take another whack with them this summer.  

Yeah, I also have some of the Gulp catfish nuggets in my arsenal but haven't put them to work yet so I'm not sure how they will perform.  Let us know how well you do with using the worms for bass.  They also have shaky worms for finesse style.

If it truly was 24" it was probably bigger than you realized. A 24" 5lb is one skinny fish IMO, either way nice catch!

Yeah, it was 24"...I did have a tape measure in my box but didn't have my scales.  It wasn't a fat fish but definitely wasn't skinny either.
