Rapala Shad Rap Sr8 And Sr9

Featured Replies

I recently tried to order SR8's and SR9's in gold and they said gold was discontinued in those sizes but you can still get SR7's in gold. Does anyone know where I can find these at reasonable price

When I looked at cabelas 2nite they only had 1 in stock of the 9's and dont remember about 8's but I will look again thanx. I even called BPS and they said gold was discontinued in those sizes

They may well have discontinued them from their stock. I know firsthand it isn't discontinued from Rapala, I just ordered 6 of them in 8+9. It HAS been discontinued in the Shallow Shad Rap, however.

Thanks for all the input. Rapala gave me a supplier I never heard of called krugerfarms. They had plenty of gold SR9's and SR8's. I knew there was no way RAPALA would discontinue that color in the 8's or 9's. If I'm not mistaken (gold) and (silver w black black) were some of the original colors they made. Maybe BASS PRO ##### did that because they needed room. To bad you have to be a dealer to order from RAPALA. All the feed back that I have received from this post makes me realize how many fisherman out there really will help. It isn't the lure that catches the fish, its location, presentation, and 85% luck.Check out vintage lures post-my pullcord popper

I'm not trying to be smart-alecky, even if it looks that way, but I'm curious why you're trying hard to get a specific color of a specific lure given your above statement on what it takes to catch fish.

(For what it's worth, Shad Raps are my favorite crankbaits).
