Hydrogen Peroxide?

Featured Replies

I don't see why not. But then again, I don't see why you would want to. If you're looking to clean your reel, a degreaser would do a much better job. I've never tried it, but would expect H2O2 wouldn't actually "clean" the reel of anything but bacteria.

Is it safe to use with reels?

Thanks,

VC

I'm doing a complete strip down, I was just wondering if it is safe to do a pre-grease/oil application to get all the sediment off.

I heard of peroxide to clean cork grips, but never reels. Don't think it would do any good, but don't think it would hurt either.

Never heard of using H2O2 for anything concerning fishing except as a water oxygenator for livewells, and it does a superb job there.

I doubt it would cause a problem, but chances are, you already own at least a dozen other household cleaning products that would do a far better job.

If your reels are prone to getting infections , it'll work great.:lol:
