ms slammer question

I'm about to get my first slammer. I have a rod that can handle the weight of the 7" slammers. My question is: what is the difference between the Slammer and the XX Double jointed slammer. Of course I realize the XX has another joint that gives it a different action. What I want to know is in what situation would the action of the XX be more effective than the action of the regular slammer and vice versa?

Bueller? Bueller?

check out swimbaitnation.com, you should get some good responses on there.

I don't know first hand but have read that the different joints make different noise and wake... (many like the original single joint best)

However, there is supposed to be a more cost effective, and better slammer option coming to market... I guess it's behind schedule.

:-X  How about an update, R.T.
