deep crankbait colors

Featured Replies

Just wondering what colors work best for deep crankbaits in clear water?

In really clear water I mainly stick with the basic shad or natural craw patterns and that usually works out pretty good, but if they aren't cooperating, I wont hesitate to throw something chartreuse or some of the wall color.

I always start with a basic shad pattern though, no matter what, then get progressively 'louder' with my color choices.

If I am fishing deep rock I will go with a crawfish pattern for my crankbait color.  For everything else I will go with shad pattern like five bass limit said.
