Just bought two brand new abu garcia revo s's for $80 bucks each (good deal I know!) any way I'm need to get two rods for the reels. Heres what I wan't to do with them cranks,spinners,jigs,topwater I know this is hard to cram into two rods but It would be awesome to get some advice on what I should get. I would like to stay longer than 6'6" and shorter than 7'3". Here are the rods I am looking at, e21 wild series, lamiglas excel, shimano compre. I would also consider abu garcia veritas, T.F.O gary loomis sig. series, and st. croix mojo bass rods. Which series would you get and why? what lengths and actions would you get and why?

I have the 7'6 veritas paired with a revo sx and love it from what youv listed iv only used a veritas but iv also never heard a good thing bout the e21 rods. A lot of people seem to say the veritas breaks easy but I can tell you I beat the heck out of mine putting it threw tons of abuse and I fish it hard everyday even today in 83mph winds just not that long today lol. But the veritas to me is a very very good rod for the money idk how all these people are having there rods just snap I vote veritas

Jigs, Topwater (frogs) = Lamiglas Excel 705 or 735

I have a Revo S/734 combo and I LOVE it, it's great for Jerkbaits too.

Brand aside, I'd look for a 6'6" MH/Mod fast or Mod for shallow cranks & top water and a 7' MH/F for jigs and spinnerbaits

I'm sure Micro Guides work, I've just never had an opportunity to fish them so I really can't comment,but I love my boring old regular guided 734. Order a 734 and 735 from TW and get them for $198 shipped (Sale ends tomorrow).

you could always check out the x factor series. on sale right now at gander mountain. made with nano technology like the veritas, and 80 million modulus graphite blank. i grabbed a 7'2 heavy. the reviews on them are good too. dean rojas designs, nice looking lightweight rods. i've got a carbonlite as well which you should probably consider. both are great.

oh yeah my xfactor is a froggin and jigging rod, especially pitchin and flippin, my carbonlite is 7 medium moderate and works great for spinners or cranks, i mostly use a bomber a squarebill with it, also works well with shakey heads and lipless cranks. ive also got a pflueger president 6'6 MH a pflueger supreme 7' M a 6'6 MH abu garcia something lol and a 6'6 MH allstar something lol

I have the each of the Excels you mentioned. The micro is a 703CM and I use it for jerk baits and some lighter top water. It works as a shakey head rod or wacky worm rod if you want casting for those applications. The 734C has been firmed up by the factory since last spring. It is the most all around of the series and can handle a a miriad of techniques. The 735C is a heavy/heavy action stick and would shy away from that model for now. The 705C is slightly understated for it's power rating. It can handle your bigger spinnerbaits,buzzbaits, jigs to 5/8 oz. and carolina rigs. They will balance well with your Revos. Hope this helps.

Try the Mojo bass rids by st croix, i have 3 of them and i couldnt be happier... what makes them great is that they have a rod for every technique (which is labeled between the split grips) i have one for spinnerbaits (7' MH), Worms and Jigs (6' 6'"), and Medium sized cranks Fiberglass rod (7' 4" M). I plan on replacing my quantum spinning rod with the st croix mojo spinning rods in the near future.

I would check out Denali custom rods. www.denalirods.com These rods are the best out there and super sensitive.
