Spinnerbait Rods

Featured Replies

I'm looking around at Spinnerbait rods and can't decide which way to go. I was trying to find a Kistler Argon spinnerbait rod but those seem to have vanished. I've not fished with one but it looks like a nice rod.

Also looking at a Teal Allstar 6'8 spinnerbait rod that has a nice price tag......Looks like a decent rod!

Any suggestions folks? FYI: I'm not going to spend a ton on one but I want a nice rod.....I've been using a 7 M' XPS rod that's been pretty great but I want to start using it for buzzbaits only.....

Don't hesitate to send me an offer if any of you are looking to unload a rod!

Thanks!

I was using a 7' MH BPS crankin stick, I like crankbait rods for spinnerbaits, as well as jerkbaits. the moderate fast actions really helps keep the fish on and keeps constant pressure on the fish. Plus it was a great lipless rod as well.

That's not a bad idea....certainly adds versatility....Is is the new Crankin stick? I'm looking to get one of those to pair up with Curado 200DPV for deep cranks....maybe I'll get the 7' MH to throw spinnerbaits as well....it's nice to get two rods for the price of one and that's about the truth with the bass pro stuff. Thanks for the input!

Its the older ones i got at a garage sale for 20$, still my go to spinnerbait rod, The new ones are very nice.

Check out the Dick's Field & Stream Tec Spec line of rods. I picked up a 7' MH spinning for for $40 when they were on sale. They are now back to $60 but there is an online coupon that will get you $10 off.

I'm using a 7' M Abu Garcia Veritas and really like it. I also like a mod-fast action for spinnerbaits. The Veritas is not quite as moderate as I would like but it's still a little slower than a normal fast action.

I originally bought the rod for cranks but after getting it realized it was faster and stiffer than what I was looking for to throw 1'-10' cranks. I also found out I didn't like the trigger on the Veritas (and probably the Verdict also) rods for a crank. The way I hold a reel, the trigger actually rubs a blister on my ring finger.

I also have an older 6'6" MH BPS Crankin Stick and it is a good spinnerbait rod. I had a newer model in 7' MH and didn't like it nearly as much.

field and stream technique specific rods have an im7 blank and split grip handles. lightweight they look nice and the reviews are good. they run $60. sold at dicks. i dont own one but have been eyeballing them

6'6" MH Falcon Original.

My spinnerbait rod is a All Star Platinum 6'6" "spinnerbait" rod. I like it. But since I fish from shore a lot, sometimes I wish I would have gotten a 7'.
