Compre Spinning Rod Recommendations ??

Featured Replies

I want to pick up a Compre spinning just because, especially if I call and find out TW will give the Stimulus 10% toward a Compre. I currently have: 7' H/F baitcaster

6'6" M/F baitcaster

7' M/F spinning

Would appreciate any recommendations on what would be a good addition to the three. Length, power, and action will be fine but if you have the time to add what technique(s) you would do with it would be great. Thanks

A ML would be a good addition for light stuff. Or a longer heavy or medium heavy.

Spinning I'd go 7' ML just because I prefer baitcast for MH.

I have a two year old Compre 6'6 MH fast that is my go to setup when I'm using spinning gear. It's nice and light and I can fish it all day with ease. It's the perfect rod for when I go up to Minnesota because it has the sensitivity to catch walleye, the backbone to bring in big pike, and is great for bass also. I always use a 2500 size reel with Sufix 20lb braid on my compre. IMO, it's the perfect spinning setup that has caught me a ton of fish. It's the only rod I use for my local pond-hopping setup because it's versatile for most lures and I only have to carry one rod. The warranty is also a nice bonus.

Good sticks, using a CPS-X66MB with 3/8 to 1/2 oz. baits, paired up with a Saros reel.Usually throwing 10lb. test line.Well made rod with nice guides, solid reel seat.Good results with all techniques used within its range.
