Looking For Some New Soft Plastic.
Catt, I am going to go out on a limb and think that "I know" what you mean by infused. Would you clarify the enhanced part, are they packaged (soaking) in a saline type solution?

Looking For Some New Soft Plastic.
I'll throw Manns jelly worm out here only because they caught my eye the other day and the feel is crazy (the 12in. is a beast), They don't seem to get mentioned much anymore but have been around for a long while and at one time were supposed to be the bomb. Maybe some of the more experienced here will chime in and vouch for them.

How Do I Build A Carolina Rig
Go to the General Bass Forum here and under the pinned "Best Of" the Carolina Rig is covered. No matter what hardware you chose to use to make yours it is a great read.

Line Tips For Spinning Reel!
X2....or even the 12lb. You get the strength of a larger lb. line with the dia. of a smaller.

Review: Yo-Zuri Hybrid
Printed one quite a few months ago from www.thelongfin.com, just looked and they still show it but in looking at the tables under both Hybrid and Ultra the specs appear to be the same.

Question On Palomar Knot
Didn't read all the replies so sorry if this ones been suggested. I'm using Yo-Zuri Ultra 8# on a spinning and 12# on a baitcaster, try the Pitzen (also known as 16/20) with lots of spit, trim as usual. It's VERY EASY to tie and seems very reliable. Forgot to mention, when you tie it correctly you will feel a little "pop or snap" as it seats in place.

Help Me Get Better With The Texas Rigged Worm
That advice is given a lot here, "watch your line", sounds like you've been paying attention.

Would You Really Get Bored Of Fishing???
I can't imagine that I would! I hope that someday I'll get the opportunity to prove myself wrong but it will probably never happen. I'm going to assume that W-C-B doesn't mean "fish every day" as in backing the boat out of the home driveway and heading to the local lakes that you've fished all your life each and every time. I'm thinking Montana for Trout, Washington State for Steelhead, Michigan for Salmon, The Keys for Bonefish, Canada for everything etc. etc. That would require various means of travel, differant styles of lodging, differant types of dining experiences. Basically, as adventurous as you would like so again, I can't imagine I would.

Which Del Mars?
Check out their website, at the bottom of the page under store click on technology. There's info on the differant lenses and the materials they use for the temples/frames. I think the lowest priced are along the lines of the Fathom (which I have 2 pr., one is a back up for when needed) and similar models, approx $109.00 every where you look I think. I've had these same pr. for about 12 years now, wear them "EVERY" day. Have used the repair/warrenty service 3 times and every time have been a happy customer and do not hesitate to recommend Costas (any model) to anyone that asks.

Ever Have A Teacher/proffessor That Hates Fishing
Usually see at least one post like this every year in a hunting forum I browse and not in every case is the professor a vegan. They usually just don't have the stomach to harvest their own meal.

Just Picked Up New Pflueger President
Redesigned? Got rid of nasty wooden knob ??? It's that nasty wooden knob that makes it a president, IMHO you aren't getting the true feel of that reel without it. Tell you what, since I bet the newer handles are interchangable with the older ones, out of concern I'm offering to swap ya

Carolina Keeper
I thought he addressed this in video but maybe not, google Carolina keeper and somewhere you'll find where they explain this. If it slips with one it's probably due to the size of the weight being used (ie. 1/2 vs 3/4 vs 1oz.), recommendation is to add another keeper.

Yozuri Hybrid Breaking At Knot
Awhile back I started using the Pitzen (or 16/20) for both types I'm using. Trilene Big Game and Y-Z ultra (8lb./12lb.). Easy to tie and I've had no problems at all, use lots of spit and check after tightening to ensure it's not curly-Q'd (that equals heat).

Do I Need A Baitcasting Setup?
Oh, by the way, I consulted that well-known tackle expert, the Bait Monkey, and he said you don't need a baitcasting rig, you need a half a dozen or so. Tholmes beat me to it, I was going to say "No you don't need one, but Mr. Bait Monkey would like u to get one" Happy Birthday! May we ask what kind of set-up you ended up with?

Shimano Med/fast Action Med Power
After reading a post of RoadWarriors that can be found in "the best of BR" I took his advice on using a 7' M/F spinning for senkos and similar plastics. I wanted a Compre but the local shop only had a Clarus at the time so I took it (with the $10.00 rebate) and I love it. Whether you go spinning or baitcaster, my opinion is that it's a great rod, at 25% off I think it's a fantastic rod! The only thing that I'm not happy with is that this years Shimano line has gone away from cork . Glad I did get a Compre before that happened.

Carolina Rigs?
Just a recommendation here, you asked what the purpose was and the replies are great. I'll just recommend that if you want to hear some of the how to's look in the BestofBR in the general section. It's a great read, got me fired up about the C-rig just reading it.

Y-Z Ultra 6# Vs 8#
Question for those who've tried Y-Z Ultra. Now I know that after looking at the specs/numbers of the two, in my mind the differance must be minimal/non-existant but I'd like to see what you have to say about it. Differance in dia. is 1000ths/in (.001) and break strength is 10th/lb (.1). Question is, can or does that 1000th/inch in dia. make the 6# noticebly softer? I ask because I couldn't find the 6# when I placed an order so I've beeen fishing with the 8# and if there is really no apparent differance I'll stop looking for the 6#. Thanks

Shimano Cardiff A Series
Thanks everyone for the input. Considering I said "I realize it's not top shelf" and still to get not one negetive comment (side plate is minor, but, yes good to know going in. Thanks S-F B/A), I'm taking it as being an older proven work horse and that's the type of products I like. B-B86, obviously you are up to speed on the reel specs, I new I hadn't mentioned about left/right retrieve but then remember I did put the abu model number. Good catch, wish we could do business.

Shimano Cardiff A Series
Need a reel for my new Compre. I currently fish an Ambassador 6501C3 and a Browning Citori (both round reels) and really like them so I might go that route again. I'd like to hear opinions about the Cardiff from those who've had experience with them. I realize they're not top shelf and may be able to step up a bit but I'd still appreciate the input. Thanks

Clarus Vs. Triumph
Thanks for the replies, will put this away for future reference. I have a Clarus 7' M/F spinning and thought I'd get another in BC but did want to get opinions on the Triumph. Ended up finding a Compre for the intended use so went with that. Thanks
-
Clarus Vs. Triumph
I saw where someone mentioned the St. Croix Triumph for an under $100 rod, I believe at Dicks they have some models for $69. After rebate the Clarus from the local tackle shop will be $69. Would like to hear how or if you think the Triumph compares to the Clarus. Thanks

Abu Cardinal 500Albi
Other try than the wooden handle I'm happy with my Pfluger President, with that said, I need another spinner so am going to kick in just a few more $$'s and give the cardinal a try. I have an Ambassador BC and figure if the quality of the Cardinal is similar for the $ I can't go wrong. For those that are familar with them I'd like to hear what you think. Thanks.
