We ended up going today (just got back) we launched from riverside campground. We tried the dam for herring first and the action was slow so we quit after my dad caught two, then we fished for bass and It was very slow, we saw some guys catch about three to four half pounders off white spinner-baits while we were eating lunch but I had no such luck. I finally hooked a 1# on a junebug yum dinger and that was the only fish we got in the boat. I did miss a fish on a top water frog but that was the only other bass action we got.

We did get to see two great blue herons doing the dew up in a tree! (they make a racket) I just stared and watched but they didn't see to mind, I wish they wouldn't do that in public!

The chic is fun I got a secret spot on the chic I fish gotta carry a ya boat thru the woods to get to it. But boyyyyyyyy aint nothin to go out there an catch 30 40 bass

Rippinglips, maybe you can carry your boat to your secret pond but I can't.

Lots of places to fish on the Chick River.
