Got up at 6:50 and headed to the local pond.

Threw a Smokin' Rooster on the top for a while, finally got a fish to follow it. I killed the bait and she thumped it.

5 even on the scale, might have been a 6 before the spawn. She was long and skinny, but a very healthy fish. First big girl for me in about two and a half weeks.

I have been extremely inpressed with my Champion 735c. It's just the perfect action for big plastics and jigs with heavy braid.

Smokin Rooster on the Top... Wow, I guess it's such a wild lookin' Critter that the bass just have to pick on it I've not fished it purposely on the top per say, since I have many others to choose from but I have reeled it up quickly from a flipped tree only to have a BIG Mouth follow it up and crush it as soon as it touched the surface I'm glad you like it Fat-G... regardless how you fish it and WTG on that FAT Girl.
