Just curious. Has anyone had hookup issues with this bait?

Got 2 of these from TW and when I opened the up, something didn't look quite right. Seemed like the hooks were set too low in the body.

I put one in my hand and pulled it out to simulate setting the hook in a bass. Sure enough, I did not feel the hooks and they were embedded in the body. I brought the frogs to work today and bent the hooks upward and now I am certain they will get me more hookups. Can't wait to get these wet. They look killer!

Gotta go. On my way to Dick's to buy up whats left of the Yamamoto Megastrike. (another shameless plug)

The basskicker frog comes with an owner frog hook. Swap that out with a gami ewg frog hook and youll get the bigger bite your looking for.

Thanks. Will have to try that but has anyone experienced hookup issues with this bait?

I think I solved the problem by bending the hooks.
