The Chrome icon on my task bar glows red when I move the mouse over it.

Is this normal or is something wrong? Just wondering if this happens to you guys too.

Mine does not do that. I just started using chrome a few months ago, so I'm no expert.

Same here. Mine does the same thing, but I'm not sure that it really means anything.

That's normal. Chrome glows red, firefox orange, microsoft word is blue...there's no default color, each program glows a certain color.
