Flying Squirrel Creature Bait

Featured Replies

I was sent a link to this bait in an old north american fisherman email. its a creature bait called the flying squirrel, only instead of having c-tails it has a double tail shaped like the back of a zoom trick worm. i would really like to buy it but i was hoping someone else had so i could get an oppinon before i buy it. here's the link http://www.bigbitebaits.com/FlyingSquirrel.htm

haven't fished these but bass are opportunistic feeders, if you present them in an area where bass are present, then you shouldn't have any problems.

kinda looks like a guy wearing a kilt, haha i have not tried this bait and this post has also sparked my interest, im sure they'll catch fish but i wonder what the action is like compared to other creature baits, sorry for providing more questions then answers!

They work quite well. The bulbs on the legs float like the tail of the squirrel tail worms. It has a subtler action than a brush hog when worked. I used them for the first time last month at Guntersville and they were killing the talapia magic after the bite slowed on a brush hog. The one down side is they are quite thin and the bulbs tear off easily. They are worth the buy, a pretty good mix between a creature and a shakey head worm. work great t-rigged or on a jig head.

Would they work well dropshotted?

Have yet to throw this bait, but it looks like it would be good on beds

Would they work well dropshotted?

Why not? I've had a lot of luck dropshotting a baby brush hog and they have a similar profile
