Welcome to the forum Jason!

A few suggestions:

-If talking about Florida specifically you may want to post in the Southeast section.

-Change your avatar info to show your location.

-What kinds of places you fish? Water clarity,depths,cover/structure?

-You boating or shore fishing?

I would be glad to help out as best I can with some more given info as cranks still have an important place in my box. I could throw out a few brands and styles I/we use but I'm sure you want more than that.

Also read through some of the gazillion articles on here for fishing cranks.I am sure you might find some helpful info pertaining to your specific situation.

I fish from shore in ponds around ft myers all the time. I catch tons of fish on Bandit 100's during the the spawn, it will catch pre spawn, spawn and post spawn fish. I just pitchit pas the grass to deeper water and crank it back past the grass, I have caught several good fish(lost 2 in the 10# range) and caught tons of little fish. We use traps all the time, esp. if you can see the fish schooling or bait fish on the surface.

Try a Bagley Bulgin B wake bait.
