Memorial Day Sale Coming!

Featured Replies

NorthStar Custom Baits will be having a Memorial Day Sale! I haven't ironed out the specifics but there will be a percentage off entire orders from Friday the 27th until Monday night the 30th! In the past I have been hesitant to do a Memorial Day sale because it is also our Bass Opener, which in itself is like a National Holiday for me :D But this year I will make the commitment to get orders out, and fish when I catch up!

We will also have the Aurora Shads up on the site for the sale, and a couple other NEW soft plastics I am very excited to offer!

Very nice! I actually caught my first swim jig fish a couple weeks ago using Northstar jigs. I need to replenish my stock now that I have more confidence in throwing swim jigs.

Caught this yesterday using a NorthStar jig. Even the full fish eat them. :)

I guess I'll have to put another order in.

The coupon code is active and that means the sale is active! Coupon code is memorial 15 and this will get you 15% off your entire order! I am also introducing some new items on the website, and those will be up later tonight but here they are now!

Now Here is the normal sale disclaimer, I do not keep "stock" I make the orders as they come in and can get quite busy during sale times, so ship times might be up to 2 weeks, I am dedicating myself this weekend to getting as many of the orders out as I possibly can as soon as I possibly can, I appreciate each and every order and make sure that everything is as it should be before it leaves the door!

The Spaz line of trailers

These are action trailers available in 3" and 2.5" We have worked the better part of this year to get the plastic formula spot on, these have the action you are looking for and are still tough enough they will not rip apart on every fish! They are salt and also have our Garlic and Craw scent cooked right onto the plastic.

The 4" and 6" Phat Head Minnow

These are designed around our shakey heads, they have a nice fat head that is perfect for screwing the hitch hiker into, the meaty section extends all the way down to meet the hook when rigged on our shakey heads so they hold the hook good, and the worm then tapers down to a nice skinny mid section followed by a slightly fatter rounded tail that has that nice subtle movement you want in a shakey head worm! I tested these all last year (I know its a rough job :D ) and also caught alot of fish on the drop shot and split shot with this bait!

The 4" Fighting Craw

This one I am really excited about, these have a nice wide body to giver a nice glide if you want to fish them on a weighted hook, or lighter shakey head, but also work great for punching and jig trailer duty! These are injected with light salt and our craw and garlic scent also!

The 10" Curl tail

The big brother to our 7" curl tail, these have a nice meaty body for a wide variety of rigging options, and a nice wide tail for lots of water movement! Available in any color on our chart and your choice of salt and scent!!

Got my order in yesterday. Thanks!!!

Just placed an order, I like the ability to customize spinner baits, I like Colorado blades and there's not a lot of options for Colorado blades in off the shelf spiiner baits.

So Mr. Northstar a couple of questions for you.

Have you thought about offering painted blades as an option for spinnerbait blades? Especially white and chartreuse.

How about a "Biffle" type jighead, basically a football jig head with a free swinging hook. I'd like to see someone offer them but with quality hooks such as Gamakatsu EWG. And the off the shelf ones seem to have a not so durable paint on the jig head. Or you could sell the jig heads and let the customer get their own hooks as long as there was a way to attach them.

Thank you for the order! I have thought about the Biffle type head, the only problem is there is only a couple custom mold makers around if you strictly hand pour like me, and they are not exactly fast on making stuff, also alot of the molds being cut for these try to make use of 2 eyelets that are not connected in anyway, instead of using a through wire design which would be much stronger, but getting the wire custom bent is a bit of an investment (have to get 10000 pieces bent at once) As far as the spinnerbait blades go, I do carry white, they are available in the Burner model spinnerbait, I will have to take a look at my stock and see if I can offer them for all, I will look into Chart blades also.

Thanks for the reply, I can see why there aren't very many manufacturers that offer the Biffle head stuff. In this area Biffle Bugging is the "hot" technique this spring.

Those new jig colors are great!

Made an order, Chris. Thanks again. That "Bruise" color is excellent. That's my go-to jig color on my favorite lake.
