My buddy recently purchased a 2man bass boat that is either plastic or fiber glass. He wants to coat the bottom of it with some kinda sealer/protectant. Thought about truck bed lining but kind of worried the texture of it might reduce the glide through the water and also might chip off if hit something in the water.

Anyone have any experience of products they can recommend for this?

I have heard of Rhino Lining a boat. As far as it chipping? I have the bed of my pickup Rhino Lined and nothing is chipping that off.

If I remember correctly a former mod on this site tuff coated the bottom of his boat and was not happy with the results he got.
