Does anyone own either of them? What do you like/dislike about it.

Thanks,

I own a veritas 76mhf and love it the only thing I would change about it is the hook keeper my line gets caught on it when flipping some times. That could just my in experience in flipping and pitching but other then that I love it. Extremly light weight and sensitive. I beat the heck out of it and I haven't had any breaking or other issues people are reporting like them breaking the tips off.

I like both my vendettas and I liked the veritas I had. I dropped it in the rain the second time out with it...The veritas was a spinning rod so i didn't have the problem with the hook keeper.

I have a few of both. I like them both alot. I use them just as much as I use my powells. Great rods for the price

Thanks for the replies....

I have the 7'3 H/XF Vendetta and used it for a year for frogs and big worms. After using high end rods for a while now, I couldn't go back, but for $80 it's a hell of a rod.

i own 1 verdict and 2 veritas. both rods are amazing the nice . i have not heard anything on the vendetta but the veritas feels great in the hand and the sensitivity is way better than my old st croix mojo

I don't have either rods, but I have an ambassadeur rod for my black maxx and I can say the same about the hook keeper with the line, mine gets caught up on it a lot. I checked the veritas out at a local shop, and it seemed like a super nice rod for the money, and plan on buying one myself in the future.

*shrug*

cut the hook keeper off.

go get a zip tie with a nail hole in it.... and attatch it right infront of the "foregrip" where it is out of the way.

now you have a hook keeper that will last forever.. and if its ever in an odd position.. just spin it out of the way.

i want a veritas jig rod so bad i sometimes wish the baitmonkey knew my pin number.
