Hey guys,

anybody out there ever tried Cabelas Chuck It Hollow body frog? I'm going to the Cabelas in Maine next week and I was wondering if they are worth a try. I just saw that they are marked down to $2.99 on the website. I have spro, Deps and Bobby's perfect. just wondering.

They are a good bait, but if you have all those others , you are probably set

I bought a couple of the 1/4 oz Chuck-It frogs, the smaller ones.  Not a bad frog lure but since it's smaller & has the rubber strand legs, it does not cast that well when there is a bit of wind.  It's not a heavy 1/4 oz like a jig so spinning gear is needed.  I use braided line w/ this lure.

I've caught some bass w/ it.  It's smaller than the Spro Bronzeye jr, so it's easy for a bass to take in whole; so no missed fish.

just fished them today as well as last weekend. I have the larger size, i actually bought the kit they have( 6 frogs for 19.00) which is a pretty good deal. I was throwing them in and around lily pads with 20 lb. mono and had no problems. On a much sadder note, I can not comment on catching fish with them. I have not used snag proof or spro bronzeye, so I can't compare. I did find the cabelas brand to cast better than expected, and they did not take in much water, in fact, almost no water.

i have heard some bad things about this bait....my friend used it and said the body of the frog is made with tough plastic compared to other brands which makes it tough to set the hook when u do get a hit
