I bought a 7 foot crucial medium xfast rod off eBay. My question is, will this be a good .5 oz jig rod? I got a good deal as well... $100.

    In my experience, the Crucials are a bit under-powered. While it may work, I think a MH would be a much better choice for jigs in that weight range.

    What stasher said. I had the same model that you bought preed37 and it was under-rated. I'd say good for 1/4 oz jigs or t-rigs is where it excelled. Also, small spinnerbaits.
