Livewell

Featured Replies

hey. i just got an old bass boat and i am just setting it up... it has a couple of livewells, but i dont know how to prepare them to make them safe for the fish. one of them is full of charcoal, and the other one was used to store the anchor and a couple big metal bolts, so it has some rust spots. so, after removing everything and cleaning them, what else should i do?? is there a soap i should use/avoid?? any other chemical i should use to clean them, or stay away from?? btw the pumps work well, i already tested them... i just need to clean the tanks...

thanx!!

Water/bleach mixed 20/1 should kill anything in there. It's also recommended that you clean the livewell after each outing to prevent the spread of disease and invasive species.
