Loxahatchee Water Up But Slow (Video)

Featured Replies

Haven't been to Lox since late March, when the water was ridiculously low and the gators and mudfish were rampant. Word on the street was that the water was way up, so I decided to fish Lox on Monday. Water is definitely up and most spots are fishable, was able to get in and out of the flats but not able to find any fish. Was the only boat there and was still only able to manage 1 measly bass, hopefully it'll pick up soon! Enjoy the video:

Nice video. Very professional.

With the water up, the bass have probably dispersed deeper into the grass.

Very cool video, you should see someone about that nervous tick you got going there. ;)

Mike and I fished Saturday morning. Like this post, we struggled out on our favorite flats and shorelines. Around 9:30 we moved to the canal and started whacking them on big worms. This was the biggest and I lost one over 4lbs.

That was a nice fish, Jack. Definately the biggest bass I've laid my hands on this year. We did a pretty decent job making lemonade from lemons, I think. The bite definately was tough on the flats. Maybe it has improved with the rain, recently???

right on! big worms are the way when it gets hot and slow. snakes are really working right now.

Jack thats a awesome bass!

Holiday was super slow thursday. I was only out from about 1100-2 before the downpour but the bite was off..... Water was movin something fierce...
