New To Loomis Help!!!!

Featured Replies

Hey guys i got an opportunity to get a 7'6" Heavy G Loomis GL2 for $80. I will be using this rod primarily for punching mats and flipping 3/4-1oz flipping baits. I know this is there bottom line rod but is this a deal for $80. I would say this rod will be used like a 6 on a scale of 1-10

If you're asking if you should get the rod, then the answer is YES. GL2 is Loomis' lower end rod but you can't beat it for 80 bucks.

Great buy at $80. Don't let the GL2 scare you. They're a well made, sensitive rod. Are they worth $200" Maybe not, but with what they've done to the actions of the rod, they're going to be competitive again. They'll give a lot of the lower mid range rods a run for their money. They're likely a VERY apt purchase in comparison to the Avid now.
