Tru Tungsten Mad Maxx (another one, I know)

Featured Replies

Sorry to start yet another thread about the new tru tungsten mad maxx frogs but I just bought some about an hour ago and I was sitting on the couch checking 'em out when I noticed that they have a harder body than the spros and they seem a little bit tougher to compress. I would think that would have a negative impact on the hook up ratio? Anybody else notice this or have problems with hookups?

On the positive side, I do like the mini-slots that the hooks sit in, it looks like it would be a little more weedless than the spros. I also am a fan of the rattle, I just wish it was a little louder.

Hmmm.Slots on the sides? Nice 1! I hate having my frog poked full of holes from the hook points. Sounds good.

yeah that feature is really nice, I was running my fingers back and forth a long the sides and I didn't get pricked at all. I think the grass is going to stay off of them pretty well

I finally used mine yesterday man! I only got two strikes on them and couldn't get the hook in either time! Not sure if it was the harder plastic or the rattle inside?

Haven't tried them yet but I heard they don't take on water the same way the spros do.

Play with it a little more and let us know how you do. We all know that sometimes you just can't peg them on the frog. Missed strikes happen all the time.
