Wdycrankbait and I fishd a tournament on Lake Chesdin in Virginia and placed fifth.

The Weather Gods were not nice. We had rain and wind all day and around 1 PM the trolling motor batteries started to fail.

Wdycrankbait lost a big one that would not only have won the tournament for us but also the Big Fish Pot. For some reason she came unbuttoned, but that happens to sll of us sooner or later.

Overall it was a fun day. Today I clean up the boat and equipment and ache all over! :D:D:D

What did y'all end up with for weigh in? Sorry about the big one. At least y'all did have fun and great time! What is the pattern like at Chesdin now? What about other boat traffic or is that dying there since the water and weather is cooling?

Sam and wdy, you all did great today. Shame wdy didn't get her to the boat, but that is fishing and it happens. Enjoyed it and we will have to do it again soon! Thanks

You fished in the Tournament too? How you placed and do?

No idea where Jaydee placed.

I know we ended up in 5th and the competition was on a high scale.

One of the guys fished the BASS State Tournament in Deleware last weekend and a number of others have made the BASS Region 3 Six-Man Team and the State team.

Had wdycrankbait landed the big one we would have been right up there with them.

Endless, you need a boat!!!! :)

I have one. It's in my Signature,it's a 14' Tracker. I just don't have a power motor nor a live well to do a tournament. I've been meaning to set up a well.

WTG Sam, Glad you had a good time!

I get sore from fishing too. Maybe we should fish more often to work out the kinks :D

Sorry to hear Woody lost a big one! Sounds like ya'll still did ok though. A day on the water beats working any time!

Yeah, I had a great time! Sorry I lost that bass. I hooked her on my 7'-2" MH extra fast tip rod w/ 12# line and could not turn her head. I think I had the drag a little loose for a fish that size. Had her on for about 10 seconds and that was it. Would have been nice to catch her and embarss some of the older fellows in the group. But, at least it is good to know I still have the magic "touch," with crankbaits. My crankbait DVD will be coming out this winter followed by my other DVD "How to get shot down by Women in 5-words or less." LOL!!!!

Better luck next time wdy! Guarantee youbwill catch the big one next weekend at pamunkey if ya show up. Let's roll. B O P
