2008 Tracker Targa 175 Sport Questions

Featured Replies

New to boating and this forum. I'm a licensed car dealer and have not really seen any fishing boats at the auction I go to just ski boats. At the auction the other day they had a mint 2008 Tracker Targa 175 Sport that is powered by a Mercury 115 HP 4-Stroke Motor. 30th Anniversary Edition only 10 hrs. This boat is equipped with vinyl cockpit flooring with snap in carpet, built in side storage, in floor rod locker storage, flip up rear seats, bow cushions, rear boarding ladder, and much more. I bought the boat and have took it out a few times to bass fish. Does anyone own one of these boats? I would like some feedback if you do. I only fish for bass is this over kill and designed for more of a all around fishing boat? Its nice to have the seating area and windshield. thanks for any input.

I do not have one but my friend does and it is not overkill, This particular boat provides options on just about all kinds of fishing should you ever decide to go pursue other options.

We fish for bass as well but we also fish for stripers on the bay and we usually take his boat, It is just a very versitile boat.

i have an 185 targa sport 2006. i made the mistake of thinking it would be good for both family and fishing. not a good idea. have converted it for fishing. fantastic boat. not afraid to take it in big water or sticks. have removed the port side lockers for more rod storage. cut out tubes in rod locker, opened it up for double the storage. ugly boat but love it. only downfall is wind blows it around quite a bit.
