Any Web Developers Out There?

Featured Replies

Looking to have a website created, as a personal/angler profile type site. Don't really have the time to spend on it. Anyone out there do any web design? Shoot me an email with some links of your work, mjp2010@comcast.net.

Thanks,

Mike

You can do it yourself pretty easy with Wordpress.com

A very highly reputable site that offers a "joeschmo.wordpress.com" for free..or you can choose a .com or .net for like 17 bucks a year. and they have GREAT templates that are so easy to use. I would look into it. http://theme.wordpress.com/

Getting a web designer is very pricey

+2 on the Wordpress... It's a great choice for a site like that (one that will be updated a lot with posts and news). Even a simple, static website is probably going to run you anywhere from $500 to $800 if you can find a cheap web designer.

Thanks guys. I'd use dreamweaver or just write the code if I was going to do it. That's the thing, I don't want to take the time to do it myself. Plus I'm just not very creative. I only really need a good css that I'm happy with and layout of the site. Definitely want to stay away from the template look and feel. Budget is around 1200-1500.

I'll do it for 1200. PM me and we can discuss the details.

Edit:Nevermind ill email you lol

1200? Shhh man ide do it for a cool grand

heh, nah im going to retract my offer only because I DEF would have used a template and you literally would have never known, which is why you should take 2 hours tops and choose from the THOUSANDS of wordpress templates and make it your own with little effort. This isent like "xyz.tripod.com" like it used to be where its so obvious, these templates are legit.

or just have nate do it.

Oh I can make a Wordpress site, not look like a Wordpress site, that's simple. Don't sell yourself short man, web design is complicated and worth every penny. Most people think it's easy, but until you get into PROPER coding that works seamlessly across all browsers, your putting a lot of skill into your work. Not to mention SEO optimization and all that happy stuff... I just finished two books on CSS3 and HTML5, can't wait for IE to get with the program and support them fully. You can do video and animation just with these languages - no need for flash! I'm guessing we are at least 10 years out until we can fully kill flash though, I'm still making sites that support IE6 that is roughly 35% of my traffic. I'm rambling now... Nerd...

Is that a fly? Looks more like a flea to me.

Hell, I thought he had crabs.

WordPress (Wordpress.org) is the BEST option out there period. Fully customizable, either through your own html/css knowledge or through templates, and the site is updated quickly and efficiently.

Not to mention, there are plugins for everything. Along with SEO optimization on most themes, it's pretty hard to beat for a couple hundred a year. Hosting is my biggest expenditure which is had for the price of a dinner for 4.

This is of course just my opinion.
