The one that got away...

Featured Replies

Today while fishing off of my dads dock, I hooked up with a nice 5 pounder. While I was reeling him in, I made the mistake of allowing him to get to close to the dock, he wraped around a pole resulting in him breaking my line. What chances do ya'll think I have of getting another shot at him?

You got to weigh it before he busted your line!?!      :)

LOL, i know what you mean man! It all depends on the area surrounding the dock and why that fish was there. If it is a bass hang out spot or a feeding ground than she should be back. I would suggest you log the time, conditions, lure technique and presentation etc etc. Then wait a couple days and try to return under same conditions/time. BEST OF LUCK

I've never thought of logging anything like that. That is a great idea.

Just tonight i snapped my line on a VERY nice bass, because i got lazy and tide a horrible knot..

Things happen, and that is why its called fishing not catching. You will get your shot again guaranteed
