When tying on a carolina rig, is a tungsten weight a must or can I use a lead egg sinker?

Yesterday I picked up some zoom swimin super flukes. I just wanted to know how you guys are rigging these bad boys up.

Now that I'm looking, I may have to spend a little more for the rod

I'm willing to spend up to about $125 on the rod and I know of a reel I want that is around $100

I am looking to get a new rod and reel combo for crankbaits. What size and action rod do you guys suggest I get?

1. When using a drop-shot, do I need a worm that floats? Can I use the same worm that I use for shaky head? 2. I got one of those fancy Spro BBZ swimbaits and didn't know if I should use a snap or tie direct.

Zoom finesse worm T-rigged

Today while fishing off of my dads dock, I hooked up with a nice 5 pounder. While I was reeling him in, I made the mistake of allowing him to get to close to the dock, he wraped around a pole resulting in him breaking my line. What chances do ya'll think I have of getting another shot at him?

Thanks for the tips guys. I was going in the wrong directions. I was using bright colors, thinking that they could not see the dark lures.

What do you guys suggest use in really dark water (less than 1 foot of visability) around cypress trees. Depth averages around 6 ft. Thanks...

I've been catching fish on the craws. Only tried the andaconda once, but it's a little too big for me. Can't wait to try the shad and toads. I love rage tail craws!!!!

I got a $15 pair of Foster Grant's from Wal-Mart. The color of the lens is dark gray.

Today was the first day I went fishing with sunglasses. I was amazed with what I could see. I can't believe I fished for so long without taking advantage of this. I might as while have been fishing in the dark or with my eyes closed.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to fish some stained water. What bait do ya'll suggest I use for early morning? Top water, spinner, buzz, or?
