Gander Mountain End Of Season Sale

Featured Replies

I went a bit wild yesterday and will again on weekend

lots of lures, soft plastics and terminal tackle on sale

based on my soft plastics

$4.97 tag = $1.24

$3.97 tag = $.99

$2.97 tag = $.74

bought many great plastic baits (yum dingers, paca craws, gander stick baits, rage tail thumpers and anacondas, t-macs, hammer worms, shaky heads, frogs, tubes)

bought a strike king popping frog......horrendous IMO

my receipt is longer than the dead sea scroll and I spent 16.71

Only retail items I paid full price for were some wacky o rings--$1.99 and 2 bobbers to try to catch a carp at my moms house $1.47

Man what a deal! Thanks for posting, I'm heading to Harrisburg this weekend, I'll have to stop in to that Gander!

Good haul, those strike king frogs will get plenty of hits. The crappy hook on the thing will insure you miss just about every fish that hits it though... :P

Kool.

Will be at Gander Mountain for our club's Kids Casting event and will take a look at the inventory.

Thanks for the info. :)

Are you sure it wasn't "Save up to 75% - when taking an additional 50% off Clearance price"?

My store is running that deal right now. Stores have different deals, but ours is running something similar. People have asked me if its 75% off, and its not, its only an addition 50% off the clearance price.

So if you're there again, double check the sign. If its the same one we're having, you may have tricked the new girl at the counter into giving you more off than it actually was.

Have you notice any rods, reels, or combos on sale? I wonder if they drop the Titanium combo even lower than $69? That's what I paid about 3 weeks ago. My wife wants one and I think it will make a nice wacky for her.

Clearance rods and reels are 25% off at my store. But its unlikely the Titanium Combo will be clearanced this year because it was a brand new item.

The Titanium rod was clearanced out at my store, originally 139.99 down to 79.97. I picked up the full cork grip version for my girlfriend because its a shorter overall handle for well under half price, and being paired with the older Pflueger Supreme XT makes it very lightweight. I'd check for one of the rods on their own and pair it with a reel you possible already have or something?

Using 10lb Trilene Big Game mono, it's VERY sensitive and she has no problems detecting bites with many different types of lures. I'm used to flouro and how clearly I can feel the bites, it was actually nearly as clear with just mono.

Yeah I too saw the Ti rods on sale like CrisAW mentioned

Reels Supreme XT the gold ones $79

THANKS Diggy

I loaded up on Chompers and Strike King tubes at $.75 a pack.

Gotta love those Gander tackle bargains. The guy at the store said that the items I was buying were listed at less than 1/2 of the store cost.
