I grew up fishing this lake. It's still one of my favorites but I haven't been up there in months. What do you want to know?

I just made some phone calls and have a pretty good report.

Tie on:

a 1/4oz Blue/Chrome or Black/Chrome Lipless crank.

1/2 oz Black Jig with Blue Sapphire Rage Tail Chunk or Rage Craw. Get it as far under the shallow parts of the docks as you can and hang on tight. (Better use Braid for this)

Black Trick Worm on a shaky head. (my #1 Oconee Bait)

3/8oz Oh Nelle Spinnerbait - Chart/White with Chrome #4 Willow for the main blade and a small gold Colorado blade for the front blade.

The fish are very shallow in the back of creeks and pockets but you are at the mercy of the Angler so hit every target and make as many cast as you can.

Oh, Oconee bass love JJ's Magic.

Thank you so much! Im sure all of this will help a ton this weekend! I have never fished this lake before but i assume it fishes a lot like Sinclair? Or at least that is my hope!

Once again thanks for all your help!

It's a little like Sinclair the fish are just bigger. Be prepaired to fish both clear and/or stained to muddy water. If your boater fishes the Oconee River Arm it will have some color. If he fishes the Richland Creek Arm it will be clear water.
