Yellow Magic Poppers

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get into topwaters a little more heavily.  Looking at some new poppers, do the yellow magic poppers warrent the price hike over other say bass pro shop poppers?  Also what size is prefered with these 1/4 or 1/2?

I love these things...

The difference is in the shape of the face of the bait, so it produces a different noise than other poppers.

I have a few 1/4 and a few 1/2 oz, just depends on the situation which size I choose.

I have some of the BPS, Lucky Crafts, Strike Kings and Yellow Magic poppers.  I have them in both sizes and use them all.  It just depends on what the fish are looking for that day.

But my main goto popper that produces the most is the Strike King Spittin King and then the BPS XPS poppers.

Later, ;)

Yes they are awesome. I use the Yellow Magic Magnums 99% of the time. Very very good bait but so are many of the others like Rico poppers, and the Jackall Grande SK-Pop. All & all the yellow magic's are my most consistent big bass catchers when it comes to poppers though.

I have 2 magnums... they are all right... i cath more fish on my spit-in image poppers though... idk not much of a popper guy... i work the walking baits way more than poppers for big bass... spooks sammys and so on

It's my favorite popper, great bait. The Excalibur Zell Pop has an almost identical action and it sells for $ 9.99 @ BPS, also an excellent popper.
