I am going to purchase a Endura C2 40 trolling motor and was curious if this will work right out of the box. I will be using it for a small 10' Bass Raider boat, wasn't sure if I needed any fuses or circuit boxes or anything. Let me know if I can just buy it and hook it to my battery and go cruzin! Yes but I'd still recommend installing a circuit breaker. The newer MK's have an internal overload in the motor to help prevent them from burning out which is resetable by removing and restoring power to the motor.

You can probably get away with a 40 amp circuit breaker which you can get at walmart or any auto parts store.
