Zoom Z-Hog

Featured Replies

Anybody using the Zoom Z-Hog baits? Technique, situations, rigging?

My new favorite bait for punching. Perfect profile and hold a Flipping hook very well.

I like the look and feel of them, I'm sure the action is great.

But they are $7 at Bass Pro in Canada! I flip through way too many lures at that price!

So I fish the Zoom Craws a lot.

Going to try Berkleys havoc craw this year, the price is right

It will probably be a bait that I will pick up and try at some point this coming year.

Does look like an excellent punch bait. I'm thinking it would be equally great for flipping ad pitching standing timber or laydowns.

I just can't decide how I see it as being much different from any other beaver style bait. I'm already a huge fan of the Rodent.

It was primarily designed for punching. The nose of the bait is molded to match perfectly to a large punching weight for a nice streamlined profile. It has a pretty thick but soft body to hold a heavy punching hook very well also. For general pitching I will stick with a sweet beaver but for 4 bucks a bag i will use these for punching.

they are $6.99 here as well. Why is it so much more expensive than other Zoom baits?

lol i was just gonna post about this bait. yea they look awesome and r surprisingly soft. i love super chunk style "claws" i guess u can call em, really soft. bought a few bags today n have the next 3 days off so ill fish the heck outta em as flippin/pitchin/punchin is really my thing. ill let u all know how they do. ps theyre 4.99 here in cali.
