Tube Rigging

Featured Replies

Anybody got the skinny on how Terry McWilliams (Indiana BASS Fed and BASS Master Classic) is rigging his tube and Bite-Me jig?  I know the head is inside, and it is weedless.  Thanks.

I have used  the Bite-me weedless jig heads, WHich were very nice with a sharp hook it uses a mustad 60degree)  and the only way i could rig it and be weedless is rig it like you would any other jig head, keeping it outside of the tube. I'm not sure how you can insert the head and get the fibers to be out side of the tube.

Thanks for the reply.  I know that it is an inside tube head with a 60 degree EWG hook.  No fiber weedguard.  I kind of "think" I know how to do it, but thought if someone knew for sure that they could enlighten me.

This doesn't answer Papa_Tom's question(sorry)

But...

I use a jig head with a fiber weed guard for my tubes. To rig it, I push the weed guard forward and insert the guard first. When it hits the front of the hollow chamber I push it thru the tube, Then I grab the guard and pull it out. Next I push the eyelet thur the tube. Then I set the hook where I want it and "tune" the weed guard back to where it should sit.

just my .02, hope this was helpful  ;)
