Team Daiwa Fuego A

Featured Replies

What is your opinion on these spinning reels? Used to love TD rods, but only have 1 reel (cabelas 50th anniv casting reel)

Saw where there looked to be an excellent sale and keep going back and forth telling myself I don't need it but just want it.

Sale price is around $160. normally like $300. Worth it for the sale price?

This will be paired up with my floating worm rod.

Thank you for your opinions and recommendations.

I've also been eyeing these guys since Black Friday. All of the reviews I came across were almost all positive, but I am not sure how happy all of my Shimanos will be if I add a Daiwa to the family. Looks to be a great upper mid level reel at an exceptional price.

$160 is is not a bad deal but I'd compare the deal to the $199 retail price of a Stradic Ci4 rather than the $280 sticker price of the Fuego. $200 for a spinning reel is at or fast approaching the point of diminishing returns.
